march, y1 (spring)
The harsh winter has passed and given way to a mild spring. The north remains frigid and cold and the south remains starved of water, but the extreme temperatures and storms are slowly beginning to subside. Vegetation is beginning to grow where once it was too cold, and the rains are returning to the deserts previously plagued with wintry drought.

The Kaltoni Plains are unique. Running along the foothills of Roskurr Steppe and the Nesslewood Range, and just north of the formidable Pagani Pass, it as a centralized presence in Isfera. The land is lush and good for plant growth, but it is otherwise exposed, and is often the victim of prey scarcity and droughts. Lions who live here must often brave the Kaltoni Wilds to the northwest to find food during the fall and winter seasons, while the great summer migration leaves the Plains flourishing with prey.

The dark and intimidating Mosmori Wilds are said to house the most ferocious beasts of Isfera. Mothers often warn their cubs of the monsters that lurk here, and even the most seasoned adventurers are afraid to venture the forest. The only lions known to frequent this territory are the hunters of Ciannid, who often follow the marked path to Inasryn Lake, where they can hunt and find water for the Kingdom. It is unknown if there are truly monsters here, but it is known that sometimes strange noises can be heard in the night, and that sometimes lions who enter never come back...

Inasryn Lake is nestled in the far eastern corner of the Mosmori Wilds, with two paths two it: through jagged and treacherous mountain range at the north of Kaltoni Plains, or through the Mosmori Wilds. This Lake is the primary water source for many lions living in this part of Isfera, and is said to have magical properties for those who make it there. Its waters are said to rejuvenate magic, and keep the lion young and strong. Warriors for upcoming battles often make the pilgrimage here to drink, but the practice is beginning to die out, given that many more lions are killed or lost along the way attempting to reach the Lake.
