Geshia flexes her claws. They bite into the surface of the earth as she ascends the slope going higher and higher. It is a simple climb so far; one which requires very little effort for her. Her pace is leisurely and without hurry. She would reach the top in due time and didn't see any reason to rush and possibly disrupt the perfect state of her groomed pelt, or worse; slip and perform a very ungraceful act such as falling! Geshia hadn't been on this world long-- just over a year, close to marking two very soon. She understood most things like the gods, and the work of magic. Not only because her parents had taught her about these things but because she also possessed some magic herself. Today she was making the climb to higher ground in hopes of testing her wings in real flight. She'd yet to try anything close, only doing a bit of gliding here and there but she was confident that her wings would be strong enough now for the real deal!

Just above her a small cliff like formation juts out from the side of the path. Geshia bends down, muscles coiling as she prepares to spring upwards. In a fluid motion she leaps up, front limbs outstretched, prepared to grab the ledge. Her paws connect with the ledge. Her chest halfway on the top of it, her claws dig in as she starts to pull herself up, hindlegs looking for something to grasp. After a momentary, awkward pull up she was on top of the small ledge. It had surely been a clumsy display. One that, just at the thought both disgusts and pisses her off. Geshia shakes out her pelt and gives a loud over dramatic sigh. She'd gotten ruffled and dirty! That was no way for a lady to present herself-- not at all! So, she takes a seat on the small ledge where she starts to groom her pelt; cleaning off the dirt that dare mar the site of her ivory coat.

Unmistakable cracking fills her ears. She pauses mid lick, eyes wide as she looks down. The ledge was breaking off! But its too late for her to escape; it crumbles beneath her, dragging the ivory lady down the cliff side in a tumble. She rolls and bounces all the way down. No doubt gaining a few scrapes and bruises along the way. Pain bites all over her body-- most of it minor. And then, she hits her head against a rock. A blanket of dizziness swallows the lady and before she knows it, the world goes dark as she slips into unconsciousness at the base of the slope she'd just climbed.

-----
(OOC); first post with geshia, sorry for the awkwardness...anyway, she' s taken a tumble; injured herself and passed out.

everything goes to hell anyway
It was a pretty good place to practice with ice. Fire and wind remained his favorites (dramatic and practical, respectively), but he had no intention of slacking off with any of the other elements. Once he was better, he could try playing with ice in warmer locations. Places where ice really had no business forming. Oblivious to the girl climbing somewhere well above him, Lucifer amused himself with wrapping stones in ice, or growing crystals, only to turn his attention to melting it once again.

It was the cracking and rumbling that finally pulled his attention away from his own activity. Calm steps pulled him out of the path of danger, and the young male watched - expression somewhere between curious and bemused - as it became apparent stones were not the only thing tumbling down the mountain. There'd been a feline shape in that mess. As the commotion passed his own secluded ledge, the dark beast moved to the edge, peering over to get a look at the aftermath. The white fur wasn't hard to make out against the more earthen tones and he wondered, idly, if the stranger had survived. After another moment or so, during which she remained still, he stepped from his perch and glided to the ground.

Ears perked forward as he neared the rubble and - oh, her sides seemed to be moving, so she was still breathing, at the very least. Now came a choice. Save the girl or let her lie there? He saw very little to gain by saving her, to be honest. Except, perhaps, one more connection in the vast network he meant to create for himself.

"Looks like your lucky day," he muttered under his breath, moving to pull the loose rocks off the girl and drag her from the mess. He really didn't know anything about healing, but figured it was better to get her get her out of the pile regardless.

Consciousness feeds back into her through each breath she takes. The white lioness's muzzle twists into a display of discomfort. A constant pounding is felt inside her skull. Though she's yet to open her eyes she swears there was a voice that had spoken to her. It's words however are lost in translation; only found as deep rumbling sound, as if her head was submerged underwater. Something was dragging her. Geshia could feel the earth moving underneath her-- and it wasn't of her own will. This worries her. Empathy unconsciously reaches out without her own consent-- perhaps activated by instinct. Emotions that are not her own drift through the ivory woman's clouded and confused mind but for now she is unable to make any sense of it. Her ebony lined eyes flutter open. The world is bright, even in the less than powerful suns gaze. Finally her body seemed to be in sync with her mind once more and the woman rolls to her feet quickly. Perhaps too quickly. Though she doesn't stumble her vision blurs and for a second, she thinks perhaps she could pass back out yet she managed to keep herself well grounded. Her body had not taken kindly to the swift movement either as it dully throbbed with aches nearly all over. Reminding her of her less than graceful decent from her climb up the slope.

What felt like minutes passing was most likely only a few seconds as he icy eyes found the shape of another in front of her. He was large. Towering over her by at least an extra three feet. Though it does little to sway her. She can't help but find this stranger does have a pretty face amongst those dark features. A loose smile slithers across her dark lips. "My goodness I'm sure I look a mess.." she breathes out in an almost flustered tone. Geshia knew without a doubt her spotless coat was tarnished by dirt and who knew what else! It would take a while for her to regain a presentable lady like look about herself. "Is there any particular reason you're standing over me?" She asks as she flexes her wings, testing them for signs of breakage. When she found none the woman sighed. And then, as her eyes had found themselves drawn to a small cut on her wrist joint healing magic unconsciously activated; and right before her focused gaze the wound seemed to tingle and stitch itself together, as if it'd never been there to start with.

Geshia blinks, she looked over to the looming dark male and spoke with disbelief. "Did..you see that?"

Well, maybe she wasn't as bad off as he'd thought. A little surprising, all things considered. Lucifer would release his hold and let her lie still once she started to return to consciousness, and stepped back a little to give her a bit of breathing room. There was still time to leave, before she woke fully. To slip away and leave little more than a mystery and maybe a hint of his scent in his wake. But then she was rolling, and standing, and time was up to change his mind. So he simply waited for the girl to regain her bearings.

When she finally spoke, Lucifer chuckled, "Considering you just rolled down a mountain, could be worse." Could be dead. Broken. Bloodied. Mangled. So many terrible things could have happened, but there she was, alive and whole and only a little scuffed.

Her question would earn a light smirk, "Well, yeah, you're like half my size. Can't really help it." He did take another step back, though (which she might have understood was remarkably considerate of him if she'd actually known him longer than a moment). Lucifer hadn't truly understood what hulking beasts he and his family were until he'd started to meet much smaller creatures. It was easy to forget.

His gaze followed hers, and he had just enough time to marvel (silently) at the fact she'd escaped with what barely passed as a scratch before it disappeared. So maybe she would have been just fine after all. His brows lifted, lightly surprised, "Well shit, looks like you're a natural healer." A more useful ability than some he'd heard of.
