march, y1 (spring)
The harsh winter has passed and given way to a mild spring. The north remains frigid and cold and the south remains starved of water, but the extreme temperatures and storms are slowly beginning to subside. Vegetation is beginning to grow where once it was too cold, and the rains are returning to the deserts previously plagued with wintry drought.

With time on his side the King moved away from his Kingdom for the day to pursue wonders elsewhere. After the devastation that had happened to the southern half of his valley, he was determined to see what else had come to the rest of Isfera. It had been a long time since he had moved across the valley and explored by himself but so far he had found many strangers with much the same curiosity.

All the time that Jafar had to give, he wanted to put it towards his magic and his exploration; to finding out what folks still resided in this land and what they were capable of. It was better to know who was a friend and who was an enemy, that way he would know whether or not to be prepared for a strike sometime soon.

Livana continued to bless him with the sound ability to concentrate and sense – to be able to expect when someone came around as well as blessed that he could take control once more. Though, he wasn’t so thrilled that she had begun to bless him with what appeared to be an out-of-nowhere thunderstorm. It’s booming voice heard through the entire forest as he moved back from where he came ever so slightly so that the mountains might protect him a little more than the splintered woods that rose in front of him.

Flight was more difficult in temperamental weather, and with the trees becoming more and more thick beneath him, Bengal figured he should soon find a place to land. Such a thing was difficult, for such a large creature like himself and concern was quickly turning into dismay as the stormy air began to buffet him around and the trees remained just as dense. Pale lips moved with a silent prayer to Danica - hoping she would guide his path and stop a painful crash-landing. It had been foolish to try flying with the clouds this dark, and he wholly regretted it.

As thunder snarled above the white lion, he flinched. Hastily, he forced the start of a descent. The trees grew closer and closer, so Bengal banked his wings back, wanting to slow down. A stray gust of wind pushed him into the weedy branches and snagged at his feathers and fur. Neare scowling with concentration, the huge man struck out for the trunk and hooked his claws into the wood. It didn't hold him, and he spun to the right with a grunt of surprise as only one paw snagged a grip on the slick bark. There were a series of creaking and crunching sounds as Bengal gradually fell to the earth, quite ungracefully. Clawing at any branch he could reach, when he finally reached the peaty earth, he only landed heavily, rather than plummeting from the high boughs.

For a long moment, he merely sat there, gingerly picking himself up and shaking leaves out of his mane and wings. He felt sore from the wind and the tree, but nothing seemed actually hurt. Still breathing heavily, aware of how still the forest had become after his hardly-quiet entrance, the man glanced about him... and realised he had company not too far off. With the rain steadily pooling on his thick fur, Bengal offered a polite chuff of greeting, as ridiculous as he felt.

The storm had begun to shake his surroundings as it began to get closer and closer, larger and larger, until he could sense that it was overhead. The dark trees above swayed back and forth with the wind and the rain, struggling to keep composed as well as keeping their russet-colored visitor dry.

Only when a loud whip of thunder crashed above him did he feel something hit a tree – immediately he jumped up to a standing position, prepared to run from the tree that could potentially be falling, but with stupid bravery he looked to the tree line and saw something quite large and golden descend from the tree. Jafar had half a mind to move away from the descending creature but his teachings had always led him to believe that pretty, winged characters that descend from the sky are things to be drawn toward.

Then again, Jafar had always assumed those flight-bound creatures were a little more graceful than whatever this thing was. This winged soul began to shake off this fall and Jafar continued to watch, mortified by its appearance if only because it wasn’t how he imagined any of the described peace-men to look like. Though, after long deliberation (and a few strong moments of his mouth being open in quiet and confused awe) he was able to piece it together that there was no way that this was some angelic being.

Especially when it chuffed to him – no angel would recognize him nor seek to be seen. They would command the audience instead. You are of flight, he sends telepathically to the male for screaming in this storm would be mostly useless. Jafar, throughout his many years in Isfera, had never seen a mortal with wings. No member of Ashspire even during its popular era had been adorned with them and thus it was quite unique to see someone with the ability to soar through the air. So, how had this fellow gotten them?
